Ability Opt In/ Out
Oct. 6th, 2023 04:45 amRasta has the ability to sense and steal life energy. His magic comes from the fear of dying and the desperate desire to hold onto life. That plus his own personal weakness from being born with a frail body, Rasta is addicted to life energy.
He accidentally killed someone by taking too much in the past and he refuses to make the same mistake again so he will not kill with his ability. He will also refrain from taking so much that it leaves his victim with any permanent damage given his own struggles with a frail body. However he does have a bad habit of pushing those limits as much as he can, but unless he's truly gone, he won't cross them. I'm open to the possibility of him causing permanent damage and having to deal with the consequences but unless you wish to go that route, the worst he will do is leave your character with very little energy for a few hours, or a up to a day at worst.
Life energy gives off a special warmth. The warmth is tied to the person's soul and everyone's warmth feels slightly different. How it feels is up to you. Feel free to be as creative as you want! In general sickness will make the life energy give off less warmth and magic generates more but nothing is set in stone. Souls are unpredictable and magic rarely acts the same across different worlds so just have fun with it!
Given the addictive nature of his energy vampirism, I will always warn for it and I won't use it without player permission.
